What is Key Club?
Key Club stands for Kiwanis Educated Youth. It was founded in 1925 in Sacramento, California. Key Club exists on more than 5,000 high school campuses in 38 nations. Key Club is an international, student-led organization providing its members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and develop leadership. |
What do we do?
Through acts of service, we help out our community. For instance, our acts of service range from cleaning up marathons, cheering on runners, tree planting, beach cleaning, and much more. Furthermore, we also gain leadership skills by trying out for leadership positions, such as club president, vice president, or division positions, like executive assistant, or lieutenant governor. By gaining a position, members demonstrate their ability to hold and organize meetings and projects. |
What are our preferred charities?
The preferred charities are charities that are preferred by Key Club International. Some of these charities are March of Dimes, which funds research on birth defects, UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), which provides assistance to children and mothers in developing countries, and the PTP (Pediatric Trauma Program), which aims to reduce the number of children that are killed or injured from trauma. |
